The Teesside Muslim Council organised a Peace March for Palestine on Sunday 5th November and the SJP were represented by a group of members who wanted to show their solidarity and support.
They joined over two thousand people who gathered to bear witness to the atrocities that are currently being carried out by the Israeli military on the civilian population of Gaza. The SJP has clearly set out it’s position regarding the devastation that has and is being inflicted on the Palestinian population and particularly those who are in Gaza. SJP vice Chair Gareth Stephenson was in attendance and said “We were well received and many people commented that they were glad to see a Political party in attendance who were clearly and unequivocally in support of Justice for Palestine”.
Gareth added “One of the main organisers of the rally has asked to meet with the SJP to explore ways we may work together”
